Reading With Baba

A cute little snippet of a part of Baba and Sofie's daily routine

I mentioned before that Sofie came to us with only some medicine and ponytail holders...not even a jacket on a 20 degree day.  However, we did receive a few things on adoption day.  They gave us one of the photos albums we sent her and in it we found a photo of her with her foster grandparents!  We also got a photo album the SWI Director made with photos of little Miss from when she was a baby and as she grew up...priceless.  In that album, there are photos of her wearing the outfits we sent and looking at photos of Stella the cat.  So, they did show them to her which may explain why she is so happy to say Mama, Baba, Dang Hongyan about 20 times a day.  Too cute.  Oh, and a rug with Genghis Khan...to hang on the wall of her room...a gift from the orphanage  :)

  1. Sofie is super smart! Those reading moments are priceless! As a homeschooling mom, I can tell you that reading to your child is most certainly a HUGE bonding thing! I loved the video!

Sofie is a very blessed little girl to have you two for mama and baba!

It's wonderful you received the photo album from the orphanage too! That was really nice of the director!
