Sea World part...10?

We go to Sea World.  A lot.  We have annual passes, it's a short drive and there is never anyone there during the week.  If it is a nice day, I pack a lunch, pick Sofie up from school and head over.  We spend a few hours soaking up some sun & fresh air...and saying hello to all our sea creature friends.

They have some fun stuff going on for the holidays, including snow, so Baba joined us this time around.  And I took lots of videos.

This is Sofie's new thing when she wants something.  It's this and "please, please, please, please!".

I caught the tail end of this encounter with one of the Orcas.  He/she was checking out the little ones:

We always stop by to see what the seals and sea lions are up to.  It happen to be feeding time - quite entertaining

There is a section full of fun stuff for kids, including rides.  A few of our favorite characters happened to be there.

But Sofie was afraid!

And did I mention the snow?

We hope you are having a great weekend!

  2. Have I mentioned recently how gorgeous Sofie's hair is? Is it difficult to manage? Emmalyne's finally seems to be getting just a little more manageable. It used to dry out so easily, so completely, and always be a snarled mess in the back. Finally, it seems to be getting just a little more weight to it.

Anyway, Sea World looks like a LOT of fun. I would love to get up close and personal with an Orca. Way cool! The snow I can get in front, back, or side yard right now. ;)

  3. I think Sofie would get right in the tank with that whale with scuba gear if they would let her. I think she is part mermaid. When Dad gives her a "lift up" it goes way up. Please, please, please --you work it, Sofie, Haha. Snow in Southern CA, who would have ever thought. Well, Sofie is so up for anything and everything--and it hardly matters what it is. It could be "Lets go into town and count the red cars that go by" and she would be like---"Yeah, OK, Hurry, Lets Go." Frank and I were reminiscing about Sea World and how much we enjoyed it. Hard to believe in 2012 it will have been 10 years when we were there. I think some day when we drive down to Florida, we will have to hit that one and do it again. Love, Nana Joyce

  4. Thanks Heather! Sofie is so lucky to have such lovely hair. It's pretty thick and easy to manage. She loves to wear it down!
