We made a long-awaited trip up to Shriner's yesterday for a prosthetic fitting. Sofie was able to test out her "new foot" and make sure the sleeve or socket as they call it, fit properly.
This was a monumental moment...the first time in Sofie's life that she walked on two matching feet and two legs the same length.
She was amazing! So brave and strong.
In a few more weeks we are told the new foot and leg piece, the color and design of which the girlie has chosen herself, will arrive...and then she'll be off!
Go, Sofie, Go!
