Virginia

We traveled to Roanoke, Virginia this past week, where Sofie got to meet all of her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins on Brandon's side of the family.  She has such a blast meeting everyone and played with her cousins until she was completely exhausted.  We had a pool party and a  backyard party with slip & slide, sprinklers and water gun fights.  We went up to see the Mill Mountain Star, had a meal out with everyone and another hot tub/backyard party.  We got a ton of great photos so bear with me...it was hard to choose!

We hope you have a great weekend!

  1. It is amazing how much can be crowded into 4 full days, and just as amazing---how fast they zipped by. She immediately fit right in from the minute she stepped out of the car to say "Hi", until she stepped back in the car and waved good-bye. What fun we all had with her and what a joy to have her, (oh, Brandon & Melissa too, Haha) here to visit the East Coast Gang!

  3. Wow! Looks like a great trip! Emmalyne, too, loves getting to spend time with her cousins. It seems to be getting harder and harder to convince her to go home. ;)

  4. Great pictures! I love them. We all had so much fun seeing you and meeting Sophie for the first time. You would have never had known she hadn't met us before. She is a self-confident young lady. Joyce is right....the time went way to fast. Hugs and kisses. Hope to see you all again soon.

  5. Nice job Melissa, and a fun, fast paced too short visit. It was very nice to see you and Brandon again, and a delight to meet your sweet, smart, and loving little Sophie. I know she had a wonderful time playing with her many cousins. I miss my little visiter out on the porch in the AM, and having my coffee made for me. Glad your trip home was uneventful too. Y'all come back soon now, you hear. (Just couldn't resist that little message from VA) :-)
