Zoo

We spent the day at the San Diego Zoo yesterday...a long awaited trip for Sofie.  She had so much fun.  We did too.

Beach

We went to the beach today and to say Sofie liked it is an understatement.  She was fearless when it came to swimming in the ocean and very busy making sand castles when she wasn't splashing in the waves.

We're Getting There...

Still unpacking and shopping and getting settled...but having some fun too.

Nana and Papa came to spend Father's Day with us

We've been making good use of the community pool.  We love to swim, but waiting to go swim...not so much

We took a break from the unpacking for a yummy breakfast out

And got started on the pink room Sofie has been wanting...and we promised.  She picked the color!

The weather has been just beautiful...sunny and in the 70's everyday.  We think we'll get out to the beach and perhaps the zoo or Legoland this week.  Stay tuned!

Home

After a rough couple of days and a 10 hour drive this past Thursday, we finally made it to our new home in Carlsbad.  Since then, we've been shopping, unpacking and organizing.  We are completely overwhelmed with the amount of stuff that has to be unpacked, so will be back in a few days with an update and photos of our new adventures.  Until then...

HOME!

First time to the beach...ever.  She couldn't wait so we took her straight there.  She LOVED it!
