Happy Friday!

We're on an illness treadmill here at Casa Cornett...and I want off! I've gotten behind on more than a few things...

Thanksgiving!

We had our beloved cousin Andrew in town! And aunties, uncles, Nana and Papa. The girly was in heaven!

Sisters

Mi Familia Loca

We're making ready for Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year for the Toots. Went to the town tree lighting and got the house all dressed up. Sofie decorated the tree all by herself.

We also drafted our letter to Santa. Sof asked for only one thing this year because she wanted to ask Santa for something to help her beautiful cousin Kendall, who is in the midst of a war with cancer. Sofie loves her so. We know Santa will come through.

How about you - what have you been up to over the holidays? Any big plans for the weeks ahead?

Halloween!

This is how you do superhero Sofie style.

It was a rainy rainy day but nothing got in the way of Bat Girl's mission to acquire candy.

Beetlejuice was our favorite costume

The parentals even got in to the action!

We hope you had a Happy Halloween

Six Years Old!

How did this happen???

Lately

We are pretty much settled now and getting in to a routine. Sofie really loves her new school and teacher. It has been a bit of a learning experience for her having to deal with all the ongoing questions, comments and stares over her "sparkle", but so far Sof is handling it all like a pro.

We made our first trip in the car (since March 2011) to Shriners! It only took about 1 1/2 hours, which was awesome. It was just a routine visit to see how she is doing with her prosthetic. The girly doesn't mind these trips...there is always candy and toys involved.

Our Aunt Jenny & Uncle Guy came by for a visit and they made pirate hats

We've been thinking a lot about Halloween...and practicing our zombie

So far, so good in our new neck of the woods!
