Last Weekend...

Aunt Kris, Uncle Dave, Aunt Jen, Nana, Papa and beloved cousin Andrew came to town to celebrate Uncle Dave's 50th birthday.  Someone was VERY excited to see her cousin...

Another Adoption Day

We have been in the process to re-adopt Sofie and today was our court hearing.  We were already legally her parents so for us, it was just a formality to create a paper trail of legal documents issued by California.  Much to our surprise, the judge and staff made it really special.  There was even a cake and a gift for Sofie!

My Silly Girl

Sofie busted out some spontaneous dance moves the other day and it was so hilarious, I grabbed my phone to get a bit of it on film.  Girl got moves!

Not much going on around here...just raining and raining and raining...and cold.  What's the weather like where you are?

Happy Friday!

Well, we are on the move again...this time to San Diego.  Aside from the wet cold winter, it is has been really lovely living here in Napa Valley.  But, we miss having family and close friends nearby and have not found much to do here as a family.  Brandon & I met in San Diego (I lived there for 14 years) 12 years ago, moved (Navy transfer) in 2001 and have wanted to get back there ever since.  We are fortunate to be in a position to be able to take advantage of the current buyers market, so found ourselves a gorgeous, brand new home in Carlsbad...only 3 miles from the beach.  Needless to say, Sofie is very excited about that - she can't wait to make sandcastles.
So, I have been busy packing up our little rental house when Sofie is in school and we've been out enjoying to gorgeous weather the days she is home.

Mother's Day

Our Baba was sick with a stomach bug on Sunday so Sofie & I headed out for a girls lunch and some cupcakes.  It was not quite the way we planned the day, but I am always happy when I am with my girl.
